Bought this last week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of safety in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received quite rapid utilizing Amazon Prime.
Tested this portable lock in my property with two different doors and functions wonders! With this lock on, it will make it incredibly tricky for an intruder to come in to your area. Though the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which tends to make it certainly solid! This makes the complete portable lock created of metal! Once installed, it was tricky for me to go in the residence. I assume that I would have to kick the door in to jar this portable lock loose.
Fantastic extra measure of security! I'll sleep better recognizing that even if an intruder manage to pick the locks of my hotel space, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this transportable lock in spot!

When it fits, it delivers a sturdy barrier, fast to put on or get rid of. It can be specifically beneficial when renting holiday homes or condos where some realtors, property managers, or maintenance males tend to enter devoid of even knocking at instances. Too a number of consumers seem to have keys, and feel entitled to enter whenever they please, at such locations. Sadly, it only fits conventional doors, and only when the door and lock fit the frame perfectly.
I have never ever been in a position to use it at a hotel, and too typically come across it won't perform in regular doors. Unfortunately, housekeeping and maintenance staff have keys to ALL locks, even deadbolts, and can even get into rooms with security bars readily. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some alter that would make it less difficult to use on "imperfect" doors.
