I've had my method for 6 months and just replaced the batteries in the motion detectors. I assume that using superior top quality batteries than those supplied will mean changing them closer to as soon as a year. Not negative at all, offered that I do not have to run any wires to these places.
I opted not to use the window/door sensors, as they appear somewhat tacky in my opinion. Rather, I got a couple extra motion detectors to deliver full coverage of my residence. The sensors are somewhat adjustable. On the default setting, they do pick up my 4 pound dog.
In the past 6 months, I haven't had any false alarms exactly where I couldn't identify the trigger. There have been a few days where I forgot to disengage the process and walked correct via the motion detection field. Of course, I can not blame that on the system.
General, I'd say this is an fantastic system for the value. The manage pad looks kinda low-priced, so I did not prominently display it in my home. It is in a closet. The motion detectors are especially small and unobtrusive. I've told household and good friends that I have the alarm method and most of them didn't have any thought, as the detectors blend in rather nicely.
Hi absolutely everyone, i ordered the Skylink SC-100W (newer model) and received mine two days ago. I set it up yesterday. Considering that the process comes pre-set it only took me 30 minutes. The only factor i had to transform was the passcode. The motion detector alone would have been enough for me as that thing is as sharp as a needle. Given that i have no pets and no youngsters i have mine on high and it is good. The window/door sensors took a bit of playing around with but they're operating fine (for now). I have my alarm on "Chime" mode considering that the siren is exceptionally loud, my ears had been ringing all night soon after i had tested it. However i have great comfort realizing i can use the panic button on my keychain to activate the siren if i feel i am in danger. It really is so loud that my neighbours will hear it and will be calling 911 in no time. I had the alarm on all night and had no false alarms. It has only been 1 night but i am quite pleased with the method. I'm told this a newer model, i'm not fairly certain how it differs from the Skylink SC 100 Deluxe Kit. If anybody could tell me the distinction that would be terrific. All in all i'm extremely happy with the technique and i am giving it four stars mainly because of how sharp the motion sensor is and simply because the siren is very loud. I sleep nicely at night....fairly nicely.
